"Ample blazing GN'R swagger and grunge grit to hook in mainstream rockers"
Band Bio

Uncompromising, unapologetic, and undeniably powerful, THE RATTLEBACKS are the Brighton-born hard rock quintet rewriting the rules and reinvigorating the genre for a new era. Formed in 2021, the band quickly carved their name into the scene with a blistering sound that blends the grit of grunge, the bite of classic hard rock, and a modern ferocity all their own.

Built around the thunderous rhythm section of Seth Markes (drums) and Jack ‘The Hell’ Hollamby (bass), and propelled by the lifelong guitar partnership of Jack ‘Coxy’ Cox (rhythm guitar) and Max Horn (lead guitar), THE RATTLEBACKS are completed by the raw, commanding vocals of Josh Clarke—a frontman whose presence is as undeniable as the band’s sound.

After a string of sold-out headline shows and a well-received debut EP ‘KINK’, 2024 saw THE RATTLEBACKS level up with their stunning debut full-length album ‘Sidewinder’ released in November to widespread critical acclaim. Produced by David Holmes at London’s Lightship 95, the record is a hard-hitting, no-filler, eleven-track statement of intent. It earned Album of the Year from Rocknroll Press, and received a rare *10/10 feature in Powerplay Magazine. The record was also featured in Classic Rock Magazine (twice), Fireworks, Black Velvet, and HRH Magazine, and got a nomination for Track of the Week by Classic Rock Magazine.

Radio support followed suit, with airplay on Kerrang! Radio, while the band’s music videos collectively racked up over 200,000 views - solidifying their momentum with visuals as captivating as their sound.

To support Sidewinder, the band embarked on a massive 20-date national headline tour across September to December 2024, followed by a 25-date national headline & festival tour spanning 2025. Live, THE RATTLEBACKS are a juggernaut—already sharing stages with the likes of Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons (2025), Tailgunner (8 dates in 2024), These Wicked Rivers, and The Hell, further expanding their reach and reputation.

Festival appearances have been equally high-profile, with confirmed 2025 slots at Breaking Bands Festival, Love Rocks Festival, Nozfest, and HRH Festival. With accolades mounting—including Band of the Year from Novocaine (2024)—THE RATTLEBACKS have become one of the UK’s most talked-about rising rock bands. As their live reputation grows and their fanbase explodes, one thing is clear: THE RATTLEBACKS are not here to follow trends—they’re here to lead a movement. Raw. Honest. Emotive. Ferocious. THE RATTLEBACKS are the band hard rock has been waiting for.
